A Glimpse of Calvary’s Cross & Trust

By Paul

As we enter this special Easter weekend, we should be so thankful that we can put our trust in a mighty God. Everyone is going through hard times right now because of the coronavirus pandemic. But we must remember that God can help us in our time of need as we look at the cross and trust in Him this Easter season. Today, may we reflect on some very important keys:

First, why should we really put our trust in God?

Right before Jesus died, he spoke these words. “And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit. Having said this, He breathed His last.” Luke 23:46. Jesus truly showed a real trust in His God. We can follow His example and TRUST God in the days ahead, for He is always by our side no matter what.

Second, how do we handle fear or being afraid?

Fear can really affect people, but God can bring peace. The psalmist wrote. “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Psalm 56:3. May we choose to trust in the Lord with all our heart. Our fear can be exchanged for faith in a mighty God.

Third, when should I put my trust in the Lord?

Hopefully, we would answer the question by saying, "I should always put my trust in God." The writer of Proverbs was known as a man of wisdom. He states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5. We like to believe that we know all the answers, but only God is all-knowing. Unlike humans, He will never fail or forsake us. Lean on Him during these trying times, for only He will guide us through to better days. We can always put our trust in our amazing Lord.

As we prepare our hearts, may we be assured that we can trust in God in the days ahead. There is nothing like His peace that can fill our lives. Have a Blessed Easter Sunday!
