Have you ever been to a guided painting class? These are a great way to have a fun night out and spend some time making memories with your family or friends. Crafting is also a great way for people to get to know each other, especially if they are strangers. Have you thought about adding in a craft session at your women’s retreat? If you haven’t, I highly recommend it!

For some inspiration, here are 5 fun crafts to make at your event:

1. Customized Cross Image Credit: HobbyLobby.com

Allow guests to customize their own cross by providing a vast amount of decoration options. Or, if you prefer to keep it simple, provide the same design materials but guests can still customize their crosses by mixing and matching! Bonus, this is a perfect craft to coincide with a wonderful ministry message! To learn more, click the links below:

If you are looking for a quick craft that anyone can do, this is the one for you! Just make sure that it is ok with the venue to paint in your designated space. Click here to view step-by-step instructions.

Here is another great craft idea from Hobby Lobby! This is a fun spin on a traditional wreath. If you are wanting to save time, make the flowers and leaves prior to your event. Also, make sure to spray paint the hoops before leaving home. Guests are sure to love this fun pop of color!  Click here to view the needed materials as well as to download the flower and leaf patterns.

4. Chunky Blanket Image Credit: http://www.raisingnobles.com/diy-chunky-knit-blanket-how-to-make-chunky-knit-blanket/

Your guests will be so excited when they see this craft on their event schedule. The yarn can be found at most craft and grocery stores (like Walmart). Make sure to provide them with a few different yarn colors to pick and choose from. Click here to view the instructional video.

5. Fleece Rug Image Credit: joann.com

This cute rug is super easy to create! Grab different fleece colors and patterns so that guests can put their own spin on their creation. When buying the fleece, make sure to check out the clearance fabric! This craft will take a while to create, so make sure to set up several crafting sessions so that guests can finish the project before going home. Click here to view step-by-step instructions.

Use these crafts anytime of the year by adding seasonal colors and decorations! Are you ready to get crafting?
